Dice onion and mince garlic cloves.
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Cook onion for 4 minutes, add garlic, paprika and cumin. Stir for 1 minute.
Add drained chickpeas and tinned tomatoes. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes until thickened.
Stir in spinach in batches until fully wilted.
Season with salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon.
Serve in bowls with crusty bread for dipping.
